Studio Practice
Each work begins with a moment, a feeling or a reaction. From there, the process becomes one of surrender. Guided by music, silence and instinct, words emerge in an uninterrupted flow, moving across the surface until language gives way to rhythm, movement and mark making.
The materials vary, from paper and raw textiles to ceramics and repurposed surfaces, but the intention remains constant: to give form to what cannot always be expressed aloud. Pigments and materials are often shaped by place, from the earthy tones of the UAE to the darker inks and calligraphic influences of Hong Kong. Nothing is predetermined and no two works follow the same path. What remains consistent is an exploration of vulnerability, fragility and the quiet strength found within them.
